Hi Glaw5 - Welcome! It's lovely to have you on the forum! We're absolutely thrilled to have another dedicated veggie grower on the boards. What's growing well in your garden right now??

Thanks moderator. Got a few things growing although they're a little bit behind where they should be because I was busy with work in spring.
Anyway, the current list is:
French beans
Peas
Sugar snap peas
Courgettes
Red currants
Parsnips
Radishes
Spring onions
Beetroot
Potatoes
Tomatoes
Lettuce
Blackberries
Strawberries
Raspberries
Broad beans
Garlic
Shallots
And that's the lot for now! Not needing a lot of watering with the weather the way it is either!

Wow, very impressive! I bet you have some lovely dinners in your house! We love seeing photos of gardens so feel free to share if you so like. :)
Just curious - do you think the rainy spring affected the growth of any plants? How did it compare to previous years?

Well, we should be having lovely dinners except things are a bit behind as I planted a bit late. So so far had nothing apart from red and blackcurrants, raspberries and strawberries but potatoes are there just about to go.
I think the weather has brought a lot of things on quickly like rhubarb and some of the beans and parsnips, stuff that's green and leafy right now. Just could do with a bit more sunshine! What do you think? Where are you based?

Hi,
I don't think you'll be alone in having planted stuff late...I had to do a second sowing of tomatoes because my small plants all died in the late frosts! So they are way behind, along with my peas and strawberries :( But it's better sowing late than early, as you're less likely to get an early frost than a late one :)
Welcome to the forums, and I'm looking forward to hearing how you're getting on :)

@Glaw5 - I'm located here in Milton Keynes where our head office is located. :)
I, like alison.pitt, lost a bunch of plants due to the late frosts this year. So I replanted some of my veggies and they are just now getting going. I don't have a greenhouse at my new house so I was unable to keep things going inside. :-( Oh well, so it goes. I'm looking forward to a nice autumn harvest nonetheless!
Glad to have you both here to keep the forums exciting. We're lucky to have such savvy gardeners in our presence.
