I use Strulch ( http://www.strulch.co.uk/ ) and I love it :) Not that keeping the moisture in the soil has been a problem this year but I have not done any weeding around my new hedge thx to Strulch :)))

At the moment most of our time goes to fundraising to be able to afford fencing, tools, plants etc... First step is to get some goodness into the ground so a lot of digging in horse manure (looking forward to a broken back this summer lol)... After that step 2 will be to plant a native hedgerow...

It must be my salvia. Omg it is full of pretty light puple/blue flowers and bees love it. Now I am so thankful for forgetting to cut it back earlier this year :) What plant cant you get enough of right now? Tigrr

Its called Hallswood Animal Sanctuary and it is magical to visit. I spent all day there yesterday and apart from cats and dog we have everything from ducks and swans to a fox and hedgehogs. I got a rose question :) In my garden we have a rose arch that has been very much neglected. Now its full of old wood and looks really untidy and unhealthy. How can I get it back in shape? Tigrr
