Tilia Europea(pollarded) Common Lime Pollarding is a pruning system in which the upper branches of a tree are removed, promoting a dense head of foliage and branches.Europaea is a broadly columnar, deciduous tree with oval to rounded, dark green leaves, paler beneath, and clusters of pale yellow flowers in midsummer followed by dry, nut-like fruit.
Carpinus Betulus Hornbeam Medium-sized, upright tree with mid-green leaves turning yellow in autumn. It bears long green catkins in spring.
Tilia Europea Hedge Common Lime Europaea is a broadly columnar, deciduous tree with oval to rounded, dark green leaves, paler beneath, and clusters of pale yellow flowers in midsummer followed by dry, nut-like fruit.
Carpinus Betulus Ball Hornbeam Betulus is a hardy and sturdy deciduous tree with an upright, triangular shape and mid-green leaves turning yellow and orange in autumn.
Dryoptersis Dilatata Broad buckler fern semi-evergreen fern bearing shuttlecock-like rosettes of upright to arching, broadly triangular, mid-green fronds with large crests at the end of each frond. Frond mid-ribs and stalks have conspicuous, dark brown scales.
Carpinus Betulus Hornbeam Betulus is a hardy and sturdy deciduous tree with an upright, triangular shape and mid-green leaves turning yellow and orange in autumn.
Gymnocarpium dryopteris Oak Fern Low-growing, spreading, deciduous fern with triangular, 3-pinnate fronds, each segment (pinnae) is triangular and divided into oblong to ovate, toothed, scalloped segments. Fronds are light to yellow-green when young, turning dark green with age.
Matteuccia Struthiopteris Ostrich Fern Deciduous fern forming large erect rosettes with bright green, fronds surrounding shorter, brownish fronds.
Osumnda regalis Royal Fern Hardy fern, forming a large clump of fronds with russet-brown spores at the tips. The fronds are flushed red in autumn.
Asplenium Scolopendrium Harts Tounge Fern Evergreen fern forming a rosette of arching, rich green, fronds, with undulating margins. Spores are borne underneath the fronds in stripes across the leaf.
Athyrium filix femina Lady Fern, Tatting Fern Upright, clump-forming, slowly-spreading, deciduous fern bearing linear, arching, light green fronds with rounded, finely-lobed pinnae along each side of the midribs.
Briza Media Quaking Grass Perennial grass growing clumps of flat, linear leaves, with flat, heart-shaped, golden seed heads which dangle from erect, slender branches.
Carex Lurida Sallow Sedge Lurida is a variable, tufted perennial with arching, linear, bright green leaves and yellow-green flowers from early summer until early autumn.
Carex Secta Pukio A common grass of swampy areas throughout New Zealand, grows in still, not flowing water.
Carex pseudocyperus Sedge Hop Slow spreading, rhizomatous, deciduous perennial forming clumps of broad, linear to lance-shaped, bright green leaves. It bears drooping yellow-green flower spikes in late spring, which form brown catkins later on.
Carex sylvatica Wood Sedge Has one male spike and 3-5 female spikes which may be male at tip. Female spikes narrow, only c 3-5 mm wide, drooping on long slender stalks, rather gappy as if fruits missing.
SesleriaGreenlee Greenlee moor grass Evergreen, perennial grass with linear, blue-green leaves and slender, erect stems bearing spike-like panicles of purple-flushed, cream flowers from mid-spring into summer.

Greater wood rush Densely tufted, evergreen perennial with linear, glossy, channelled, dark green leaves and open panicles of small, brown flowers from mid-spring to early summer.

Goatsbeard, Clump-forming perennial with pinnate, fern-like, mid-green leaves and pyramidal paniles of creamy white flowers in early and midsummer.
Euphorbia schillingi

Spurge Rich green leaves, each with a central white stripe, form upright clumps from spring to autumn. From midsummer, the tops of the stems carry small clusters of long-lasting, yellowish-green flower heads. A natural woodlander, it flourishes in lightly dappled shade and will attract beneficial insects to the garden.
Centrathus ruber albus
Red Valerian Albus’ is an upright perennial with lance-shaped to ovate, grey-green leaves and dense sprays of small, funnel-shaped, fragrant white flowers from late spring into summer.

Mrs Robs Bonnet An evergreen perennial with spreading stems, fleshy bright-green leaves, and clusters of yellow-green flowers.
Geranium Phaeum walkure
Dusky Cranesbill Blue Single flower: Light Blue flowers May-July. Ht. 50cm. Sp. 40cm. Shade or sun. Any soil. Drought tolerant. 

Geranium ‘mayflower’
Mayflower Mayflower’ is an herbaceous perennial with a compact habit. Its green leaves are deeply divided with lobed segments. In spring and summer it bears violet-blue flowers with white centres.
Geranium ‘lily Lovell’
Dusky Cranesbill ‘Lily Lovell’ is a clump-forming, herbaceous perennial with lobed, light green basal leaves and slender, branched stems bearing deep purple-mauve flowers in late spring and early summer.

 

Tellima Grandiflora
Fringe Cups Evergreen perennial with dark purple leaf stalks, rounded to heart-shaped, lobed, purple to red-flushed, green leaves and, in late spring to midsummer, erect stems bearing terminal racemes of bell-shaped, pink-fringed, green flowers.
Geum Rivale ‘album’
Avens Album Album’ is a compact herbaceous perennial. In late spring, it bears dainty, nodding, white flowers on wiry stems held above its lobed basal foliage.
Athriscus sylvestris
Cow Parsley Purple-black leaves with beautiful contrasting white flowers with small pink bracts from late spring to summer.
Aquilegia Alpina
Mountain Columbine Alpina is a clump-forming perennial with finely divided blue-green leaves and bright blue nodding flowers in late spring and early summer.

Star of a Billion Branched heads of large neat pincushion flowers surrounded by a ruff of green. Forms tidy clumps of green foliage with ghostly ivory flowers.
Digitalis albiflora
White Foxglove Albiflora is a tall biennial with hairy dark-green leaves and spikes of white, tubular flowers in summer.
Digitalis Lutea
Small Yellow Foxglove Lutea is a clump-forming, evergreen to semi-evergreen perennial with oblong to inversely lance-shaped, veined, glossy, dark green leaves and, in early to midsummer, upright stems bearing slender racemes of narrow, tubular, pale yellow flowers, hairy inside.

‘flight of the butterflies’ Clump-forming, rhizomatous perennial with upright, strap-like, green leaves and small flowers with purple and blue standards that rise above blue and white patterned falls in early summer.

Siberian Iris Persimmon’ is a clump-forming, herbaceous perennial with linear, strap-like, mid-green leaves and tall, erect stems bearing mid-blue flowers with veined falls in early summer.

Myrrhis Odorata
Sweet Chervill Odorata is an herbaceous perennial with ferny, green foliage and white flowers in summer that are followed by decorative seed-pods. Foliage and seedpods have an aniseed aroma. Will self-seed.
Filipendula ulmaria
Meadowsweet Ulmaria is an upright, herbaceous perennial with deep green, pinnate, divided leaves and fluffy, white flower heads in summer until early autumn.Buttermilk coloured blooms, produced all spring and summer.
Ranunculus acris citrinus
Meadow Buttercup Buttermilk coloured blooms, produced all spring and summer. 
Potomogeton natans
Pond - An aquatic species in slow-flowing freshwater habitats. They are dark green, leathery, opaque, with translucent longitudinal veins. They are 5 to 10 cm long, pointed at the tips, and rounded at the base.

Cat of nine Tails PondLatifolia is an invasive deciduous marginal water plant. It has upright, strap-shaped leaves and in late summer, bears dark cream, terminal flower heads, followed by dark brown, sausage-shaped seed heads.
